So You Always Wanted To Sing

Discover, or rediscover your singing self

The Myth of Can’t

Believe it or not, many people believe they can’t sing.

Often, this self-belief takes root in childhood when someone ‘important’ communicated this to them – a teacher, classmate, sibling, etc. Others have drawn the conclusion from a comparison to the world of celebrity singers. And some think they cannot sing because they believe it is a gift with which people are either born or not.

No matter what, the outcome is the same. They stop singing. And their further singing development is frozen.

This is unfortunate because humans are designed to sing. And the benefits of singing can literally change your life – physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.

What most people don’t realize is that you can learn to sing because it is a developmental skill – just as when you learned to walk and talk.

Also not generally known is that singing development can resume, and be successful, at any point in life – whether you are 18 or 80 years old.

The Course

SYAWTS is our foundational course in learning how to sing. This fun, uplifting program is designed for adults who would like to sing but haven’t sung for a while or feel they cannot sing.

This approach was first developed more than 20 years ago by our founder, Dr. Susan Knight. Through this course, hundreds of adults have successfully discovered or re-discovered their singing voices. Click here to hear from them in their own words.

Singing development in this course is built through both group learning as well as one-on-one instruction customized to each participant.

Our expert facilitators are skilled in guiding participants through learning that accommodates each individual’s developmental stages.

They are also expert in creating a community with participants which inspires confidence and trust; this atmosphere boosts learning and enjoyment.

Many participants have told us that this program has had a transformative effect in their lives.
